Hall of Fame Note from Andrew Braccia '98
Upsilon Alpha Phi Gamma Delta Hall of Fame Note
I want to share my sincere apologies for not being able to attend tonight’s event in person. I am honored to be recognized in such a meaningful way by an organization that played such an important role in my development as a young man.
I arrived at the University of Arizona in the fall of 1994 as a typical College freshman. Unclear of what I wanted to be when I grew up. Hundreds of miles away from my closest friends. Unsure of my purpose.
I left the University of Arizona in the spring of 1998 with a clear purpose of the career I wanted to forge. A collection of the greatest friends anyone could ever ask for. And purpose in the form of a woman I would share the rest of my life with. At the center of all of this was and will always be Phi Gamma Delta. The fraternity was the vessel in which all facets of my college experienced traveled through.
“Not For College Days Alone” was something you heard often in your time at FIJI (Phi Gamma Delta). It was easy to say. It was easy to remember. But little did I know at the time how true those words would ring later in my life. I just returned from our 20th year wedding Anniversary in Italy with three other very special couples. Each of these couples included one of my Groomsmen. Each of those Groomsmen was a FIJI. “Not for College Days Alone”, Indeed.
Thank you once again for this incredible honor.
God Bless,
Andrew Braccia
