Upsilon Alpha to colonize fall 2017!

Brothers,

My name is Matt Farrell and I am the Director of Expansion for Phi Gamma Delta. I am writing to share some exciting news. In mid-April, Vince San Angelo ‘62, several other graduate brothers,  and I collaborated in an on-campus presentation as the final step in the process to solidify Phi Gamma Delta’s return to the University of Arizona. The presentation was accepted, and Phi Gamma Delta’s return to campus is now official for a fall 2017 colonization.  Receiving the approval of the International Headquarters and the University of Arizona to colonize represents the culmination of a long series of events by several graduate brothers, in particular, Brent Moody ’61, John Marietti ’61, Boots Bergstrom ’63, and Jeff Derickson ’72.

This fall, we will be sending two brothers on staff to Tucson for seven weeks to conduct our initial recruitment. Our process is designed to use dynamic marketing and referrals from staff, campus leaders, organizations, and graduate brothers to attract the top unaffiliated men on campus and men who plan to enroll at the University of Arizona.  All full-time undergraduate men who have not been initiated into a social fraternity are eligible, regardless of class year.

Throughout the summer, the best way you can help us is to fill out this link to recommend names of unaffiliated men at U of A and any new enrollees that you may be aware of. This link will automatically place your student referral into our database, so our staff can reach out to them. Our database allows our staff to stay connected with all graduate brothers who send referrals, so you can remain involved in the process. Please talk to friends, family, and any connections you may have to help us build our pool. Our recruitment model relies on using Phi Gamma Delta’s 5 values to evaluate potential members, and graduate brother referrals are always prioritized as an endorsement of Morality & Excellence. Thank you in advance for taking the time to reach out and send us names.

Forming a Colony is a challenging process.  It begins with this vigorous recruitment effort and Graduate brother support is vital.  We welcome your help.

If you would like to continue to receive updates about the colonization and/or be involved as an advisor, please indicate your interest using this link. We look forward to building this colony with you.

Fraternally,

Matt & Vince
