Upsilon Alpha - February Update

Hello Phi Gamma Delta brothers!

One goal we have for the year of 2025 is to live out our slogan, Not for College Days Alone and connect our graduate brothers to what we are doing in Tucson. The following is an update on our month of February!

Order of Omega Awards

We are proud to announce that we won 5 Order of Omega awards last week. After comin away with the most awards at the IFC Banquet in the winter, we were thrilled to be recognized again!

Group Awards

• Excellence in Diversity Awareness & Programming Award

Individual Awards

• Brogan Kelly (So.)- Outstanding New Initiat  - Our current Recording Secretary and former Mu Pledge Class President
• Callan Taylor (Sr.)- Outstanding Campus Involvement - UA Bobcats, UA EMS, Former Social Chair
• Will Bastman (Jr.)- Outstanding Campus Volunteer -Foundations of Courage Chairman, UA EMS

Pi New Member Class

The first weekend of February was our Spring Recruitment period. We were happy to welcome 11 New Members of the Pi class and boasted one of the highest bid retention rates on campus! 
 

Mom’s Weekend

In mid-February, we hosted our bi-annual Mom’s Weekend. The weekend included a Happy Hour at the FIJI house and a brunch later in the weekend. That weekend, Arizona hosted Houston for a top-15 matchup. It was a disappointing result, but a great experience for the families that attended and those that watched in our courtyard!

Super Bowl Watch Party

The Houston game wasn’t the only one on the big screen in the courtyard this month- we also hosted a Super Bowl party in early February with multiple sororities in attendance!

Upcoming Phoenix Networking Trip & Facebook Group

Looking ahead, we have been considering a Phoenix networking event to further connect our undergrads with graduate brothers- whether you are 1 or 40+ years out of college! We would love to hear if there is interest for such a gathering at TopGolf, Grass Clippings, or an other venue we may decide on! Please reach out to Matthew Barkley if you ar interested in attending a Phoenix-based get-together!
