Michael Wystrach '02

Mike Wystrach, a seasoned entrepreneur, has a background of building companies that leverage technology and innovation to improve daily life inefficiencies. Wystrach has experience working in every stage of business, ranging from equity sales on Wall Street, to commercial real estate development to launching startups. His hands-on experience in the business world and strong work ethic, fostered by growing up on his family ranch in southern Arizona, provided him the foundations to lead and grow multiple start-ups. Since setting out on his own as an entrepreneur, Wystrach has returned greater than 50% IRR to investors over the last 10 years.

In 2012, Wystrach founded Freshly, the leading manufacturer of fresh, prepared meals in the U.S. As former founder & CEO, Wystrach led the charge at Freshly to deliver great-tasting meals directly to its customer’s doorsteps, while significantly reducing the environmental impact of the food industry. Freshly achieved annual revenue of over $500 million and shipped over 100 million meals in 5 years. In October 2020, Freshly was acquired by Nestle for $1.5B.

Most recently, Wystrach co-founded One Vet and after leaving Freshly joined full time as Chairman and Co-CEO. One Vet is a veterinary service built around how modern pet parents and their pets live today by offering gold standard medicine paired with superior technology to make pet care the way it should be – easy, comfortable, and stress-free for pets.

Additionally, in Wystrach’s free time he is an active investor & advisor in both European & US startups as well as Venture Capital firms. Notable startups that Wystrach is currently advising or has invested in over the last several years include: Barkbox, Mantra Health, Thrassio, Clark Insurance, 900.care, Parsley Health, Odeko and others.
